Become a Member Organization.
Organizational membership is open to nonprofits, unions, faith communities, civic groups, and any organization that shares HCAO's commitment to universal health care in Oregon.
Member organizations publicly endorse HCAO's mission and are listed as members in our public communications.

Annual Dues
$100
per year, per organization
Membership dues help fund HCAO's education programs, advocacy campaigns, and statewide organizing efforts.

Rights of Member Organizations
- Appoint one delegate to HCAO meetings for voting purposes, with one vote representing your organization.
- Vote to amend the Bylaws according to their terms.
- Elect and remove HCAO Directors, Officers, and members of the Nominations and Elections Committee.
- Provide guidance to the Board regarding HCAO's direction, budget, policies, and activities.
- Call Special Meetings of the Membership according to the terms of the Bylaws.
- Be recognized as an HCAO member on our website and in other public communications.
- Help bring a universal, publicly funded health care system to everyone in Oregon and the United States. Everybody in! Nobody out!
Powers and privileges not granted in the Bylaws are reserved for the HCAO Board.
How Member Organizations Can Help
- Send a representative to HCAO's Annual Membership Meeting.
- Communicate with your members and constituents about HCAO's mission, activities, and progress.
- Link to the HCAO website from your organization's website, social media, or other channels.
- If your organization has a logo, send a digital copy to operations@hcao.org for use in HCAO's membership materials. Preferred formats: EPS, high-resolution JPG, or PNG.
- Invite HCAO speakers or presenters to lead discussions about the transition to universal health care with your organization.
- Sponsor events: HCAO holds several in-person fundraisers each year and can always use principal sponsors.
- Encourage your members to attend canvassing, rallies, and advocacy events.
- Consider in-kind support such as printing, mailing, or event space.
