PORTLAND Health Care Reform Town Hall

HEALTH CARE IS IN CRISIS

Health care is expensive. Insurance doesn’t guarantee access. Oregonians are seeing a loss of services, and medical bankruptcies, poverty rates, and death are all on the rise.

OREGON CAN MOVE TO UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE

Our state's Universal Health Plan Governance Board will deliver a plan to our Oregon legislature in September 2026. Our Oregon Legislature will be considering this in 2027. Oregonians can expect to vote on this issue in 2028.

TALK TO THE PEOPLE MAKING THE PLAN

Speak to a member of Oregon's Universal Health Plan Governance Board, with your local leaders, and a speaker from Health Care for All Oregon.

Speakers include: Mary Lou Hennrich, BSN/MSN, Universal Health Plan Governance Board member, Master’s in Nursing and Founder of CareOregon

Mike Leahy, Universal Health Plan Governance Board member, Founder of Oregon Community Health Information Network

Representative Travis Nelson, RN, Oregon House Representative

Collin Stackhouse, Health Care for All Oregon Communications Coordinator

Oregon is the only state with a constitutional amendment, guaranteeing healthcare as a fundamental right of every resident. Learn about what Oregon is doing to make this constitutional obligation into a reality.

Imagine a Universal Healthcare System, based on Oregon residency, and modeled on a “single-payer” model: Care for life. Less stress. No copays. No deductibles. Lower cost. Less waste. No medical debt. Choice of providers. Simple. Equitable. Necessary.
